Ladies w/ lower back pain....
How do you cope? Called my gyno to find out if i could use icy-hot and was told a big no no. I could only use heating pad on low which does nothing along with tylenol.
Please share your remedies.
Thanks!!!!

This! I started prenatal yoga and that has helped a little, too. Thankfully DH has been rubbing my back almost every night.

Re: Ladies w/ lower back pain....
I've been getting really bad lower back pain. My doctor said if it gets worse a chiropractor might help. He also suggested yoga or any activity that would strengthen my core. I've been trying to do different stretches and it seems to help a little. My doctor also said its important to wear shoes with good arch support, especially once I start getting bigger, since the weight of a pregnant belly tends to pull you forward. I don't really have any shoes with good arg support so I guess I have a good excuse to go shoe shopping!

Re: Ladies w/ lower back pain....
I have bad back issues prior to pregnancy and I know its horrible. I'm out of work now because my back is so bad....there is not much u can do when pregnant.....it sux. Try to not sit long and walk around a lot. Sometimes PT helps but for me it doesn't.

Re: Ladies w/ lower back pain....
I take 2 showers and 1 bath on bad days...the hot water really relaxes the muscles, and helps me move around better. I will use a heating pad if i have to.

Re: Ladies w/ lower back pain....
I had the worst back pain with my first pregnancy - awful to the point where walking or going up steps was really excruciating.
Stretching was the only thing that seemed to help, and that wasn't a cure either. The good news is that once baby is here, it pretty much goes away

Stretching too.
Can you tell me some of the stretche you do? I am 33 weeks and just started getting back pain today. I've been using a heating pad but it has not given me any relief.

Re: Ladies w/ lower back pain....
Hi, you should definitely try going to a Chiropractor. I am a Chiropractor who specializes in pregnancy and have helped so many people. I have worked with different OB's and midwives to discuss the best course of treatment. I practice in Great Neck and here is my website, greatneckfamilywellness.com
If you are not close to me, I can probably find someone close to where you live.
If so, just FM me for more details and you can definitely feel better.
