Keurig....Love it, Hate it???
Thinking of getting one of the single brewers for DH's morning coffee. Do you have one? Do you love it? Do you hate it?

We keep contemplating it.. we are HUGE on coffee and DH wants it badly...here is what is holding me back:
It sounds like glorified instant coffee...I know it's not, but that's how it feels to me.
The price is kinda high
and what if you have company come over? how does that work? I'd still have to keep my old coffee pot then, right?

Love it! I have been using the universal filter with my own coffee which is soooo much cheaper. When I have company(more than 4 people) I use my Farberware percolator.

I just bought my MIL the single one. while its extremly easy to use, its one serving size only makes half a cup on a big mug. she drinks a lot of coffee in the am so she is making nearly double what she would normally have to make. At work we have the other one where you can select the size of the cup (3 different sizes) and that's worth the $ IMO. it at least makes a full cup and you feel like your getting you money's worth out of the K cups. buying the single one with the 1 cup size is a savings up front but actually works out to be more costly in the end if you drink more then 1 cup of a real cup size of coffee because you basically have to make 2 cups to fit a mug or travel cup.

We have it at work and I feel that the coffee is never hot enough.
I use a travel mug here and have to use two k-cups to fill it.
I think the k-cups themselves are expensive.

A lot of these complaints sound like the things I love about the Tassimo...the coffee is piping hot, the quality and size of cup are both great, and did I mention they do great Starbucks blend???

coffee comes out too hot to drink though.
i have the reusable filter and use my own coffee most of the time.

We have a large one at work and I hate it! I feel like the machine is dirty and the coffee tastes burnt. I did buy one for a friend for Christmas and she loves it.

my coffee is always hot...
it's good bc i have 1 cup in the morning and that is it....on weekends sometimes we'll have a cup each after dinner if we eat home...and DH drinks coffee sporadically, sometimes he'll make a cup for his morning ride to work...
when we have company i use a cheap 12 cup Mr Coffee coffee pot that i keep in my pantry...

My mom has the single 8 oz small keriug and she hates it... i have the most expensive one where you choose the sizes and holds 60oz of water and its the appliance i use the most and couldnt live without it!
As for the price of the k cups, you have to shop around... i always order a pack of 50 donut shop k cups through amazon subscribe and save program and only pay about 40 cents a cup! thats a hugeeee savings when compared to DD and starbucks every morn

Same here. I do like my coffee on the stronger side, so I get the extra bold varieties. I usually get them at BJ's/Costco and some good deals can be found online.
I originally got it when I had a newborn and brewing and drinking from a pot was a luxury I didn't have anymore. Love how quick, fresh and hot it is.

i don't love the taste of the cofffee it is just easier to just plop in a pod and not measure but to get better tasting coffee isn't worth it?
My parents have it and I skipped out on buying one.

Love it. We don't drink coffee, so it's good for us for parties.
This summer I've been hooked on their Half & Half Perfect Iced Tea, and last winter I was obsessed with the Cafe Escapes Milk Chocolate hot chocolate.
