I believe they are real. I don't think they look fake at all.

Re: Kate Upton on SI Swimsuit cover.
They shot her in zero gravity. They are real.
Link.
Also, the videos of the crew trying franctically to shoot her in zero gravity is hilarious. Watch it just for that!

Re: Kate Upton on SI Swimsuit cover.
I just have to share this becuase i'm still laughing.... I picked up my DD from daycare last night and we walk in the house. The SI swimsuit issue was sitting on the floor, as it had been delivered with the mail and pushed thru the mail slot. She kneels down, points to the cover and proudly exclaims "THAT'S A MAN!"

Re: Kate Upton on SI Swimsuit cover.
I think she looks gorgeous & hot!
In regards to her bikini top being too small, I doubt SI's male readers are b*tching about that. I know when I complain to my DH about a bikini or any top being too small for my chest, he states "That's the whole point!!!! That's what makes it hot!"

I am sorry but I am sitting in a conference room with another person right now and trying SO hard to stifle my laughs.
That just struck me as so funny and I'm dying here trying to hold back.

If I had a body like that, I'd walk around naked all day.
