Just had a subway sandwich and im freaking out...
Ok i just had a 6" turkey that I had toasted twice...but as i was eating it I was reading old posts about how bad it is and now im freaking out. This is the first time I have had cold cuts, but its subway and not the most reputable...I know Im over reacting...but I need help. How would I know if this turkey had listeria? Ugh with the worrying over everything Jen!!!!

don't worry! you had it toasted twice so I am sure it's fine!! If you got listeria you would get sick so you would know.

Honestly, even if it wasn't heated and cooked, its probably fine. Subway usually has a high turnover with their stuff. And you heated it twice.. don't worry.. I know easier said than done, but listeria is not that common.

I wouldn't freak out either - my SIL ate cold cuts her whole pregnancy - miss "i know everything about pregnancy" didn't know she was supposed to heat them up and the baby turned out fine.

Bc of my gestational diabetes I need to eat protein with each meal.
For lunch each day I've been eating turkey sandwiches, not heated up.
So far so good.

i've been eating cold cut sandwiches all throughout this pregnancy and i'm fine. You'll be fine. Subway has a high turnover rate and as long as the place is clean everything in moderation is ok.

Ditto and ditto. The only thing my doc said was to stay away from stuff with lots of nitrates. Otherwise, he didn't even mention listeria, and he's a worry wart. And I loves me my tuna sammies  Doc said no more than 8oz of tuna per week.

Don't freak out. I had cold cuts while I was pregnant with Ds and now with this pregnancy. As a matter of fact I had a salami and muenster sandwich with lots of mayo yesterday.
