Just curious how many of you actually used
your glider? I was curious if it was necessary to register for one. I have a comfie chair in the den, but it does not rock or glide...just wanted some opinions from the BTDT moms...

I wouldn't say it's a necessity but I used mine especially if we had company and I wanted to nurse her and now I read to her in it before bed. For me the nursery was always a nice quiet place to go in the beginning when we had visitors and it was nice to have a comfortable chair to sit in.

I didn't use it for the first ten months, but now I am using it all the time and love it. In the beginning I was able to do our nighttime ritual in the living room and bring her sleepy to her crib, but as she got older the nighttime routine had to happen in her room or she'd get too stimulated.

My mom gave me her glider from when we were kids...
Its in DS room- but sometimes I wish we had put it in the living room- since most of his feedings are done in their...
I used it alot while nursing- and if we had company...
And to rock/sooth him to sleep when he was smaller...

We used ours CONSTANTLY for the first 3 months. It was the official place to feed/rock/hold the baby. Especially when she was not sleeping through the night, it was a comfortable place to hold her and rock her.
Now it is in her bedroom (it was in our den) so we don't use it as much but we have a reading corner set up in her room so I'll read books to her in there on the glider and also she's been waking up a lot in the middle of the night lately so I'll hold her and rock her to sleep and then put her back in the crib.
In our experience, it was a necessity!

I don't have a glider, I have a rocking chair, but I use it every, single day. I'm sure if I had a glider I would just the same.

I did not get one and we did fine....BUT I will say that DD will ONLY take her bottle up in our bedroom. I'd like to have one in her room so she can associate that with going to sleep or nap time.

I have been using it since the day we came home from the hospital. I have been giving him is bedtime nursing and bottles their. Also when he would wake up in the middle of the night and he was sleeping in our room I would go into his room to feed him. As much as I do love it, if my MIL didn't buy it for us because she wanted to buy something big for us and my parents already purchased the furniture I don't think we would have bought it ourselves.

We have one - I used it ALOT. It was great for feedings or to read to DS.WE have it in a spare room now with the otterman. I luv it!

We use it alot. I have mine set up in our office. Came in handy for 3am feedings. Now we use it if she's fussing to rock her to sleep. Def not a must have but nice to have
