Just curious.. how is anyone able to afford
a Louis vuiton bag????
They are sooooo  Its insane - and yet, I see so many people with these bags.....
I would love to have one, but there is no way I could spend that much money on anything - except for rent or daycare!!!

750 is the cheapest one, and that is a LOT of money - even 30% off is still quite pricey - I'm just curious how someone is able to afford that, on TOP of other things - usually someone with a Louis is also dressed nicely - know what I mean? How can someone afford that and other things, on top of necessities?
I mean, I have seen the rich ladies with the bags - thats not what I'm talking about - I'm talking about your typical, youngish mom or young woman with other expenses...

By saving.
After all the bills are paid for, daycare is paid for, groceries are bought... stuff away some money to buy what you really want. And if an LV bag is what you really want, you'll just have to save until you have the cash to spend.

it just boils down to the way people divvy up the money they have.
our living expenses are VERY low...so we have money to play around with.
right now we are saving up to triple our living expenses and buy a house (sounds AWESOME, right ) but before we spent our money on other stuff..trips to anywhere we wanted...shopping sprees on Via Spiga and the Galleria (in Milan) and other fabu locales.
I wouldn't buy a LV b/c I could buy myself a vacation with that money..BUT...it's still frivilous spending....just directed differently.
some people don't have so much responsibility on their income as you do...some people just make more $$ than you do.
such is life.

basically, it can be any of the following:
some people make more money than others; or
some may not make as much but have less debt than others, so they are able to afford to splufe every now and again; or
some may have alot of debt and just continue to live above their means just to have these things; or
some may not be carrying the real thing.

Well b4 I had Sofia, I bought bags bags bags.. I would wear a sweatsuit with my dunks and my bag.. that is just "me"
I have gucci's from 1991 when I was in 8th grade..I love my bags..
My last bag was my gucci diaper bag and that should last me for 3 years...
I don't care about designer anything else but bags and sunglassses.. I would wear a 3dollar wife beater. its about how you wear it and how it looks good. if you have mushroom fat hanging out of it.. it doesn't matter how much it cost!

I also don't believe in credit cards..
If I can't afford something up front with cash I do'nt buy it.. CC to me are fake and fronting....
I wear ballerina flats from Strawberries bc I like them and they are nice to me.. they cost 9.99 but I have my chanel bag......
I am lucky to have been able to buy such nice bags, now that I have a child I will prob buy less bags for myself..

It's not like I am spending 500.00 every single week on myself.

I have a Speedy 30. It was $650. DH got it for me as a wedding present. If he hadn't I woul dhave used my bonus from work.
I am far from a rich person, I have a house on LI and bills like everyone else. I make a budget and stick to it. I have room in my budget for extras and when I want something that is a luxury, I save for it.

I have one and it was 700. I rarely buy myself things anymore and this was something I wanted so when the time was right and the money saved, I got it.
I work hard, make a very decent salary, budget my money well and every once in a while get something really nice.

This is not to say I spend $750+ on a purse, because I don't - it's just not my thing, but, I do splurge on other items, and the way we do it is simply - we keep our living expenses insanely low.
I worked my arse off to go to law school, lived on peanuts, and chose a school that gave me a scholarship so my tuition was $3k a year, instead of going to a top 10 law school, for $50k a year.
When Dh was starting up his business he lived in his partner's basement for 2 years! 
When we finally started making money, we didn't start spending extravagantly. We still buy used cars, and our mortgage is about 15% of our take home pay. My student loans are next to nothing because of scholarships, and other than that, our only major expense is daycare.
So, yes, we have the expendable income, if I so chose, to buy a Louis Vuitton. But, you'd never catch me in hell doing that. I'd rather put the money into tools that we can use to do renovations, or into a real estate investment, or a nice vacation, or our retirement.
It's about lifestyle and personal preference....

i have a real lv that dh bought me for my birthday, i did not ask for it he surprised me, it did not cost 750 it was a little less, it is a small evening bag, but he can afford it so he bought it
also you can get small bags for $300-400
