I was a teacher in florida but we moved back home in April because my DH got a really good offer back home (Long Island)
When we moved back I was only subbing. Now I do nothing because I have no job. No one wants to hire a preggo!
I'll probably go back to subbing and keep looking for a perm position.

Even though I post on here all day long, you'd be surprised at how much work I get done in the meantime (I'm queen of multi-tasking and the "Alt-Tab" key for when I dont want to get caught on here, and I bounce back to Word documents  )
I work for 4 attorneys, but the 3 associates I assist are pretty self sufficient on whole. My big boss is the chariman of our department (aka big shot) so my actual workload is light for him. I book a lot of trips/appointments/meetings for him but he delegates the actual legal WORK to his associates in the dept. So I don't do as much litigation/paperwork as I did in the old days. Before he made Chairman, I would never have time for being online.. we were swamped all day long...
I can't complain overall

When we moved to Chicago in May we decided that I wouldn't try to find a job right away since I'm PG. Dh's promotion has allowed me to stay home (for now.) We'll see what happens after the baby comes.
In my "previous life" I was a librarian at a public library in Nassau County. I have to admit that I was on LIW during work hours when I was planning the wedding. But only when it wasn't busy!

i am to and i do the same thing - and usually i am crazy busy!!! but always make time to hit alt-tab!!!

I agree with you. In between typing to you guys. I see patients, go to mtgs and visit various rooms. Its very interesting how multitasked I am.

I do secretary/reception...Out of my three bosses I work for, only one is constantly in the office which makes it a little easier.
I agree with everyone about the multitasking! I dont know how we do it!

I work for a big company and sit in a really open busy area - which is why I'm on and off sporadically throughout the day.
I'm pretty busy, but like Flee I'm a great multitasker. I find that taking a few minutes here and there to read something that actually interests me helps me get through my dull monotous work...
OH I'm also a CPA, but I work as a senior financial analyst.

I work for a mid-sized Corporate Consulting company. I'm an executive assistant. My bosses include one very senior partner and two lower level partners. So, very much like Flee, the lower level people are pretty self sufficient, aside from big projects here and there. My big boss, on the other hand, is a baby and needs me to be next to him all day long. Sooooo annoying .
But, I am an excellent multi-tasker. I come on and post between projects. And, I'll admit, there are some days where I don't have so much to do. but, there are other days where I am so busy I can't even come on here.

I work from home for my old company that i used to work for in Dallas. (We live in Cincinnati). I do incentive marketing programs. I am on payroll for 20 hours a week, but I work more like 8 hours. It is great! My boss doesn't call or bother me...it is almost like I am my own division of the company.
As long as I am billing my clients and making $$$ for the company, they leave me alone.
I really got very lucky with this gig!

I am a stay at home mom for now so Im basically always around lol.after this baby is born Im going back to college though to get my 2 yrs to become a cop if we stay in ny but if we move dwn south then i dont need the college i will just become a cop

my mom is also a social worker in a nursing home I give you guys a lot of credit. I used to hate going there as a kid it was soo depressing
