I would work in shifts with your DH. Not fair that you have to be sleep deprived.
This is exactly what DH and I did and plan to do again. He works from 3 PM-12 AM, so he's been on a completely different schedule then me since we met. He would take the night shift and I'd do days. Of course, ever since DS started sleeping through the night, I was pretty much on my own, but it was really nice to have DH's help before then.

if you can go to your mom
it really sounds like you need it especially if you are going back to work soon. You just had a baby and you need some time to rest and heal before you have to get back to work.
I agree with this. Go to your mom's. I just got back from being at my sister's in NC for 2.5 weeks. Even though she worked during the day, when she came home, she took the baby for me and let me rest. It was SUCH a big help!!! It let me get my mind together. She also cooked or took care of dinner (take out sometimes) every night and that too was a tremendous relief. I also helped take care of her two (2 and 8). Even though I was helping with 2 other kids, because they weren't crying infants, it was not as stressful. Definately see if you can go to your mom's or sister's house for a couple of weeks before you go back to work. I think it will do you a world of good.

Re: Just a vent
Kathy, Seriously, if you need help...I would be happy to come over. My nephew was a very fussy baby and cried all the time. The good news is that as soon as he could move around on his own, he was a perfect baby.
Take whatever help you are offered. It's hard being a new mom all by yourself.
