Very interesting..sounds very much like Steve Perry...in fact that's how was he hired: the band members found his video on You Tube:

I saw him on Ellen a few weeks ago. He caught my attention because he's Filipino and so is my husband. He's quite good. Nice voice.

i am supposing he speaks English as a second language? I only say this b/c for some reason, the emotion of the song doesn't come through to me.... like he is just singing the lyric and the melody, but not connecting to the lyrics.

I heard this clip on Howard Stern last week... it's unbelievable how much he sounds like Steve Perry, and he is not even from this country!

AS a HUGE Journey fan, I hate to say this but he is not bad. I do not think that he sounds like Steve Perry at all. There is only one Steve Perry. But this guy is okay. I would still not pay to see him in concert.

He made me stop dead in my tracks in Target when I heard him. They were playing a live concert on the flatscreens. There is obviously only one Steve Perry and that man is like God to me.....but this guy is damn talented!

I saw them on TV a while ago. He is quite good.
He can even sound like other famous singers.
I think it's good for them. Steve Perry was so into himself dragging the whole band down for postponning the return.
I don't blame them!

I almost DIED when I heard this, before I heard him.
DH is in a Journey tribute band and I must say.....they are pretty amazing!
They should have taken their lead singer.
Seems like Journey keeps going through lead singers, no more soul to the band KWIM?
But then again, I'm not a HUGE fan so I may not know!!!!

Me too! He's really, really good! And I adore Journey!
Wow...now listen to Steve Perry live...as hard as this is to say, there's not much of a difference. It would just be hard not to see Steve Perry standing there...
