Is this okay for a baptism dress???

I've only been to baptisms where the babies were very young and in the fancy outfit with the bonnet, etc.

DD will be 1 at her baptism next month... is it okay to put her in a pillowcase dress like this? Is that appropriate for church or should I get something with sleeves?

I can't find anything else I like (a white dress that's not too crazy) in size 12 months!

Honestly, for a baptism I think its too casual. Its an adorable dress that I would change my little girl into AFTER the baptism, but it is such an important event that I feel something more dressier is appropriate.

i think it's lovely.

we didn't use a 'normal, long christening dress'. we went with the dress below:

Re: Is this okay for a baptism dress???

While not the "traditional looking" baptism dress, I love it and think it would look very sweet for her baptism.

I keep thinking of the "cup of Christ" in Indiana Jones. it wasn't the most ornate...by far, it was the most plain.

yes, I make life decisions based on movie interpretations of the bible Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

so I still think it's great for a summer baptism, especially if it's in Florida!
