Is this normal for a 2 year old?

My dd really really likes routines and doing things exactly the same way every single time. Really really really really likes and insists on it. For example she can't go to sleep until she has her bath and she plays with the exact same toys in the bath doing the exact same thing with them each time. She must be the one to turn off the shower faucet or she won't get out of the tub. After we read the same exact books each night she must have a few sips of milk while sitting with me in her rocking chair. Stuff like that, but its all day, not just at bedtime. I'm just wondering is that a control thing that all two year olds do, or is could she have some degree of OCD?

Very normal. My ds is 3 & is still like this.

Ok thanks! I was thinking it probably was normal, but lately she's been so specific about doing things exactly the same that I was starting to worry a little.

normal. my dd is obsessed with listening to this one particular cd during lunch every single day... im so sick of hearing it. and only she can press the button to on. no one else or it is meltdown mode. she also gets upset when we skip bath in her bedtime routine. she asks for it and it basically makes everything harder if we dont do it.

I'm glad to hear this is normal because my 22 month old DD is like this. She lines up her toys in a very precise way. She has to be the one to turn off the light when we leave a room, etc.

I thought it was cute, then I worried that she was OCD.

yes my son started doing things like this around age 3. I think toddlers have a lot of quirks sometimes.
