Is this normal in a 2 year old???

Ugh!!! I notice that lately he gets in these excited, running around screeching fits. He's happy and laughing, but lately he's started biting us! Just today, my DH, mom, sister and myself were sitting on the couch and he runs up and tries to bite all of us, but he's happy and smiling. We tell him not to bite and to do nice, but he sometimes will try it again, sometimes he listens.

Anyone deal with this?

Yes, mine did this a few times but I nipped it in the but immediately, but removing dc and putting them time out etc.

It's funny because he went through a biting phase months sgo, now this resurgence

Yes!!!!!! very common, more than you would think. you have tell him why we dont bite, calmly. I also remove dc from the situation. its an annoying stage of toddlerhood, but this too shall pass.

Yes DD did this for a few mos. I posted about it recently. But the last few weeks its gotten better, and she's really curtailed the biting to maybe 2x a week, when it was multiple times per day at its worst. I think it was a 3-4 month phase.

My DS is almost 22 months and has been going through a little bit of a biting phase over the last few weeks. I try to explain that biting hurts and that we have to be nice to one another. That works, until the next time he bites he's been doing it less so hopefully this phase is almost past us.
