IS this a false positive?
Regular poster in hiding, sorry. Its been a REALLY long road for us. 3 years trying and I have been working with a fertility specialist for the last 3 Weeks. All my tests came back fine but DH's SA wasn't good. they said I would not be able to get pregnant naturally.
As soon as I get AF I needed to call them and this next cycle we would try IUI.
Needless to say in the last 2 weeks, we changed our minds, and decided we needed to wait another year maybe even 2 or 3. Life changed for us DRASTICALLY. DH's job is no longer financially secure, and he has been given a pay cut. we aren't sure we could afford a family so we decided to wait.
Today I tested because tomorrow AF is due. I tested on day 10 and it was negative. I have probably taken at least 50 of these blue dye tests over the last 2 years and they have never ever looked like this. Do you think this is a false positive? I'm so confused and scared. and I just don't know what to think anymore! I am going to take a digital at lunch and I called the infertility Dr and I'm going for a blood test tomorrow. But what do you girls think? Of course I can't wait that long, I'm dying to know
It doesn't look that dark on this picture but the pic with my phone does and IRL the background line is faint but its def there.
so I took 2 digitals to make sure
I seriously can not believe this! DH is is such shock, please tell me he will be excited at some point?

theres no way to know until you take a different test and see if its positive as well!!!!!

I can see the other blue line very well!
With blue dye tests, the false positives usually show a very thin 2nd line, not the nice thick one you have there. I had a false positive on a blue dye test and it looked like a pencil line.

I will update after lunch with a digital, and then tomorrow with the blood test. I just can't believe it, I thought I would be so happy, instead I'm scared out of my mind! DH is laughing about it saying this is how his life works. he tries to plan something and it doesn't work out, as soon as he gives up, bam, he gets what he was trying for all along.  thanks everyone, I really need to vent some place!

I dont know what a blue dye test is supposed to look like but if it's a BFP it looks pretty dark, so I would think you could get a positive on a digital! I hope this is it for you!

Go to the drugstore and get a digital.
That way youll know if it was a false positive.

Don't you love hearing stories like this? Like exactly when you guys decide to stop trying after all this time? 
I know the circumstances are wonky -- but CONGRATULATIONS.
DH will warm up to it. It's probably just  to him now.

he will be. freak outs in the beginning are normal, esp when you just made a decision to hold off and found out about the IF stuff.
