I think you're both overreacting. She shouldn't have told people and shouldn't be blocking your calls, but I also think you're making a bigger deal out of it, at the end of the day it's a house and you shouldn't go into so fearful that you're going to be devastated because the house-buying process is stressful enough.

Can you be both? Mom should understand not to blab, but since you know she blabs, it is on you to decide when to share knowing that she is going to over share. Good luck on getting the house.
This is me...My mother would never keep something in confidence so I now don't tell her anything because I know she will blab.
