I wanted to put mine up the day after Halloween (this Tuesday) but I'm going to wait until the day after Thanksgiving for my husbands sake

Some do it the day after Thanksgiving, and even then I think it's early. IMO, 12/1 isn't early anymore.

we also have a mini tree that we got, and have no room to put it away right now, so it is sitting undecorated in our living room...  and will probably stay there until it is time to decorate it...

OMG. My DH would take it down if I put it up this early. December 1st is when I am "allowed" to put it up.  Actually, I would put it up before that but he's the one that has to carry it home.

honestly yeah i think so. Then by the time Christmas gets here you might be sick of having it up or it might not seem special anymore
