To be honest, this is pretty obnoxious. I asked a serious question and your response turned it into fodder. Why bother to leave a comment if you're not being helpful at all?
And honestly, some jars of sauce I have had, the higher end ones, like Victoria's, Mama Lombardi's and Rao's taste better than some homemade sauce I have had, and homemade by real Italians.
So yes, don't be so quick to judge.
Some homemade sauce that people make and are so high and mighty about, actually tastes like shit. Not everyone is as good a cook as they think they are

THIS is how I feel. I am all Italian, and there is not one person's sauce that I like! They all think because they make a sauce it's so great…they knock a jar sauce. I have never had a sauce or a "gravy" that I have ever liked, all too oily and tomatoey. LOL. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Victoria Marinara and wish I could make sauce like that. But then again, why make it when I can buy it? Oh that would be just to say "I make sauce". I get it!!

I agree! I know GINA is joking, it's a common thing that people who make a sauce or "gravy" as my family calls it knock a jar sauce. But I have NEVER had someone's sauce/gravy that I thought tasted good or that I craved, ever. Victoria Marinara changed my world…aside from a few restaurants that make a sauce that I like.

I think that in the only moron that took the joke as sauce is fattening so you shouldn't eat a whole jar of it
I've been dieting too long. All I use is jar sauce but I'm not Italian. I would've eaten the sauce, did you Op and lived to tell about it?

i got the joke. I think people are little too wound up from being stuck in the house lol
My mother Cringes when she comes here and sees Victorias Jarred Sauce in my pantry. LOL She said I should be ashamed as an Italian hahaha
I'm lazy.
Only time I Make sauce is if it's a big one. W/Meatballs, pork, sausage, etc

I was just making a joke,my intention was not to be obnoxious at all

I didn't take offense to the comment at all, I just thought it was totally off topic. I actually think what you wrote was funny, but not on its own. If you wrote your comment in addition to a legitimate answer I really wouldn't care.
No, I am not a critic and no, of course, we don't have to be serious all the time, and this is nothing to get wound up about (obviously)
Maybe obnoxious was the wrong choice of word. I just found it a little off-putting. In any case, who the heck cares??? We all have more important things going on in our lives besides this.
