Is it necessary

beta is tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I'm out. Should I even go for the blood test?

Shannon asked this question last week and I totally understand what a PIA it is to go when you know it's not positive.

I'm thinking of calling Cornell and just asking them to send a script for a blood test to my health center here at work just for the record. I have to know either way but if it's negative then I will stop the supps.

You think they'll let me do a test somewhere else? It will only be a days difference..I waited this long.

good because frankly spending the coin on two cab rides and getting on the 6:13 train to hear bad news is just adding insult to injury.

Hey and if by chance I am I'll find out Thursday.

Did you use an HPT?

My RE always likes us to come in for our beta because he says he has seen too many times where people are bleeding and still pregnant or people have gotten negative tests at home and are still pregnant.

The place that I go is halfway between work and home though so it's not as inconvenient as it sounds like yours is...

well either way I'll get a blood test. I just don't know if it's necessary to go there.

eta: I took on test on 9dpiui and it was negative. My brown spotting has gotten heavier and I had some clots. I feel a bit crampy and like I said it could be but likely not.

I have a test at work here..I could do that first.

Sounds so inconvenient to go all the way over there! I would have them call in a script.

Re: Is it necessary

I got the script and sent it to my health center. They will do it later and they asked for the results stat. I could get the results today.

The nurse said don't count myself out though. She has had many people with brown spotting actually go on to have a healthy pregnancy.

Ok, that's good but I'm trying to stay level.

I know my body. For me this is just a routine thing.

I'm secretly hoping of course and I'm sure I will have a good cry if it's negative.

Hey there,

You made a good decision to go in the office. That is great that they can do the test there.

Keep us posted. what time are you going for the test?

Would your RE be able to call? They can say it's important that you get in early today so you can have same-day results.

Re: Is it necessary

BFN..it's ok though.

I'm dealing with a health problem that needs to calm down and I'm going to take 1-2 months to deal with that.

I have a call into my RE about next steps but I probably won't cycle again until April most likely.

I'm really ok with it although I am disappointed. I think DH and my dad were more disappointed. Hey it would have been great but uncomfortable for me dealing with the health issue.

I didn't want to start a new post about it.

working on it. feeling a bit better. I really need to be on different meds some of which are not 1st tri-friendly. I may take those for a few weeks and see how it goes. Then I may try to find some meds that are low risk and give IVF a try again.

I'm not waiting forever though. I just want to get it under control asap.
