We didn't tell anyone DS's name while I was pg. And, once he was born people would say "oh, well what was the girls name you had picked"....my response "Can't tell you since we are still going to use it should we be blessed with a little girl".

I have shared with anyone who has asked, and have not gotten any negative feedback...at least not to my face. It wouldn't have mattered to me anyway, unless it was from my mother or sister. I guess I'm one of the lucky one. Either people really like the name we picked (Blake Harris) or I have polite friends and family. It doesn't matter though. My DH and I are happy with it. My daughter wasn't thrilled with it at first, but I told her it wasn't her choice, and now she is fine with it.

OMG! I didn't know that did I? Our names are a bit uncommon-I have told some and not others-mostly becasue the others have had comments about other names we were throwing around.
I told my Dad one of my names (which is a nice name-not at all teasing material) and he said, the kid is going to hate you why don't you call him Zeke. Zeke???? How is that better than X name?

I didn't tell anyone DS's name but sure enough DH's cousin was pregnant at the same time..my Lucas was born in May and her Luca was born in June. I think that she thinks I took the name but honestly I had it all along...story to go with it an all. But it seems to be a sore point.
Oh well...next time I will tell once I know the sex for sure.
But in response to all the people that bother you to find out...I used to tell them that I either didn't know yet or that I wanted the baby to be the first to hear it's name so no sharing until then.

We decided not to share the name with anyone. It has been fun keeping this secret from our families. Although, my MIL has expressed her frustration that we won't tell her. Oh well. She will have to wait till  arrives!

We told my family but won't be sharing with anyone else- especially not my SIL. DH already made the mistake of telling her a few names we were thinking of and she had a comment for each name. I'm just going to tell people that we are undecided.

ok ok, well since were just "here"...i will say that Luca is also on my list lol
It woulda been Luca for a boy as well...i actually know a lil girl named Luca born in june, i wonder if its the same lil girl? small world

we will probably tell people what names are in the running- i really dont care what anyone has to say, doesnt bother me.
