Introducing new foods...
When did you introduce regular food to your DC and what did you do first?

Re: Introducing new foods...
6 months - We just gave DD anything that we were eating that was soft. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, pasta, meatballs, cheese, yogurt, bread, etc. She did fine with everything.........even with no teeth.
ETA - I didn't follow any particular order, we just let her try new foods whenever.

We did the same. We also do some purees because we weren't comfortable with letting her explore and discover finger food at daycare, but we still wanted her to eat.

Re: Introducing new foods...
Around 7/8 months I started introducing food we were eating. Almost anything broken up small enough can be eaten by a baby, including meat. Babies do not need teeth to eat.

Introducing new foods...
at 6 months, we did mushes. started with baby cereals, then sweet potatoes, avocados, and bananas (we waited 3-4 days before introducing each new thing, as suggested)
as for non-mush, i think the first thing was probably cheese when it came time for that (around 7 or 8 months, i think). At about 9 months, we had our first real family dinner and DS ate spaghetti with marinara sauce and veggie patties and broccoli.

Introducing new foods...
Around 8 months with very simple things like toast, pasta, meatloaf, and cheerios. By 9.5 months I was letting her try just about anything.

Introducing new foods...
DS turned 7 months yesterday. I've given him eggs, pancakes, pieces of toast, ice cream...basically anything I'm eating that's not spicy and he seems interested in.

Re: Introducing new foods...
Puffs, watermelon, banana at 6-8 mo. Eggs and pancakes at 9. Now at 10 they eat mostly foods. Grilled geese, past, steamed carrots and sweet potato, sunbutter and jelly sandwiches, chicken tenders cut small, veggie burgers, cheese, Cheerios. They only have 2 teeth so I guess they mash with their gums. I keep pieces small and it's soft food.
