Interior Door Replacement
Anyone own a home where the upstairs ceilings are slanted and have replaced their bedroom interior doors with 6 panel wood doors? Did you have a problem purchasing the size required? Our door openings cannot accommodate a normal 80" tall door. They are 75" and most wood doors come standard as 80". Just curious if any of you have faced this problem and what you did to get around it.

Re: Interior Door Replacement
We went through the same thing for the doors in our basement. I just asked my DH what we did and he said that they cut the 80 inch doors and the door frames down to the right size. There is a piece on the top and bottom of each door to remove and then put back on after you make the cut. Good thing for us DH's friend is a contractor so we hired his help for the basement and he cut the doors for us.

Re: Interior Door Replacement
We had quite a few interior doors in our house an odd size. We bought the wood 6-panel doors and then DH measured and cut each one to size. The trick is to know the total amount you need to cut, and then do 1/2 that at the top and 1/2 that at the bottom.
