Interior Door Options
We are getting our interior doors replaced...we have the ugly hollow brown wood doors now. I am so undecided if I want white doors or wood ones and stain them!!
Which do you prefer??

Re: Interior Door Options
I voted white but i think that it depends on the look of your home. Generally though i think white always looks nice with the contrast of the walls......
I think that these might be kind of pricey but you can take a look at this website to get some ideas:

Re: Interior Door Options
We just got new ones. We chose 6 panel white ones. Originally there were wood ones, but we felt the white would brighten it up.

Re: Interior Door Options
No problem. I am addicted to Home magazines and they have adds in just about all of them every month. They have really nice stuff but i have a feeling they are kind of pricey! I have never replaced doors but that is one of the things i am nit-picky about. It's all in the details!

LOVE it! That was the other one we were debating on! Our front door is 6 panel and we weren't changing it so we figured it should match.

Re: Interior Door Options
White, pre primed usually runs about $50 less a door. If you were going with naked pine then ideally your mouldings should be replaced too even the baseboard and crown to match... that's a lot of moulding, staining, and pol which is a lot more $$$ too.
We went with white, pre primed six panel solid doors with colonial mouldings.
New interior doors can really dress up a house

I saw a similar door at Home Depot when I was looking. I think it was special order though which means, sometimes, 6-8 weeks.

Totally! I can't wait till we can do something with ours.
Lisa- I like both white and stained, I think a lot has to do with the house and what's already in place. I think in our house white would be better because the hallway is white, but depending on the color stained would be nice too.
Sorry, I'm really no help!

Re: Interior Door Options
When we do replace our interior doors, we plan to do single panel french doors in white for all bedrooms. Hope this helps or gives you some ideas.

Re: Interior Door Options
We replaced every interior door in our house when we first moved in. We went with 6-panel solid wood pine doors and DH stained each one, and then polyurethaned them. I love the look of them, and so easy to keep clean. White I am afraid would get too dirty... BUt I love the clean look of white, so its so hard to decide.
