I would probably give it to a reputable children's charity. One that uses at least 85% of the money towards the kids and the rest for administration costs.

ASPCA and DebG.... and Adopt-a-Family as per Newsday if it was near the holidays...maybe some to the Red Cross...gee it doesn't go all that far after all, does it?

50% i would"adopt a a poor family" and through them a great thnaksgiving dinner and buy them few gifts for Christmas

local non-kill shelter or Animal Haven (no kill that also has a santuary for 'unadoptable' pets with diseases, socialization issues, etc)

Since it's close to the holiadys, I would buy childrens christmas gifts and donate them to families who cannot afford it.
Or to adopt a family that I see in the pennysaver every holiday time, and give it towards that family for the holidays.

I would donate it to an organization for battered women. There are alot of women who gave up everything they owned to escape their abusive spouses.
