Induction
What do I need to know about it? Dr. is considering induction due to hypertension. I find out Wed but what ?'s should I ask?

What does your BP have to be under to avoid induction? What is the process like? What drugs they use to induce? Are you allowed to eat/drink before labor officially begins? (A friend of mine was induced and it took three days... they let her eat one meal). What pain relief if offered? Is it required? (When the same friend was induced and they REFUSED to give her Pitocin w/o an epidural. Many women opt for the epi, but *having* to get it would be a red flag). What kinds of monitoring are required?

I was induced with my first and it went very quickly. From what I understand that's not typical but it was a great experience for me.
