inconsistent movement? please help!

I'm 22 weeks & 2 days pregnant..

I've been feeling Chat Icon moving around for about 2-3 weeks now.

It's been really light, although last monday I got my first (and only) really big kick.

This past week I've felt him so inconsistently-some days I only feel him once or twice, and other days I feel him for hours at a time. It's still very light though.

Is this normal? Should I be concerned?

I am sure its fine. I felt Chat Icon alot around that time but nothing was ever consistent. Somedays he would be nuts and other days super quiet. It always freaked me out too

Only recently (at @ 28 weeks) did I notice a pattern of any kind. Now at 33 weeks he doesn't give it a break!

Re: inconsistent movement? please help!

For the most part i barely noticed my baby boy when he made any movements. At around 30 weeks they got alot stronger. I was always worried something was wrong. Some days i would feel him only once or twice as well. As long as you feel some movement everyday i wouldn't worry too much. Otherwise talk to your doctor he can calm your fears by letting you hear the heartbeat or a sonogram.

I think that's TOTALLY normal. . I'm at 20 wks 3 days and I still don't think I feel anything. . asked my doc about it yesterday and she said it's fine, that we all feel things differently. . and she said she heard a kick (listening with the machine) when I totally didn't feel anything so I think it's all okay!

I think it's fine. I was just starting to feel the baby at 22 weeks. At 32, I can feel her moving every day, but the amount of movement varies. It's only consistent at night, right before I try to go to sleep!

Definitely normal. At that stage, I would go an entire day without feeling him. They are still pretty small at that point, but once you reach 30ish weeks, he/she won't stop! Chat Icon

Re: inconsistent movement? please help!

i'm going to be 21 w tomorrow and i've had the same exact experience. last week i got 3 crazy kicks before bed one night and since then just the tiniest flutters and tickles....

i wouldn't worry too much, give it another week or so, apparently 24 weeks is the popular movement time

I didnt start feeling Chat Icon consistently until after 25 weeks. Before then, it was very light and sporadic.
