in the process of quitting the bottle cold turkey...
Today's day one of no bottle. DS has drank about 4 oz of chocolate milk and 8 oz of water from hos sippys. Im hoping this is OK. His dipers were wet, but no where near as wet as they usually are. Should I give him some pedialyte? Should I still give him a bedtime bottle? Oh, and to top it off he's got a bad cold, but no temp thank god. I figure this time is as good as any to quit since milk isnt good when you're full of snot...

I think that's fine. GE still has wet diapers. Tomorrow push the water more. I always have a water cup out for dd. she drinks water all day. I only give 2 milk cups a day. About 20 Oz. the rest is water. I would not give a bottle at night. It will confuse him.

it's fine. Just make sure he gets enough cheese and/or yogurt (calcium).
Eventually he'll start drinking more.
My son lasted about 6 days before he started drinking more.

He didn't get a bottle today. I went out after dinner and he was asleep when I came back. DH said he cried the whole te and kept going over to the refrigerator, which means he wanted his bottle. I feel so sad for him!

Sounds normal. DD drank much less for a week or two and then got used to it. Now she loves milk.

Wow it seems like a lot of us are quitting the bottle cold turkey together. We need a support group!! This is sooo much harder on us than on our children!!!
