Impatient for baby!
I had an OB appointment today at 39.5 weeks. My cervix finally started thinning, but is completely closed, and is really far back. My doctor seemed most concerned that my cervix hasn't moved forward at all, and thinks that there's a good chance that I might end up needing to be induced next week. I know that these things can change at any time, and I'm still hoping that I have this baby this week. After losing my father almost two weeks ago, it would be really nice for the baby to arrive before or on Father's Day this Sunday. My family needs the distraction. Could I have some dilation and labor vibes please? Thanks!

Labor vibes are being cosmically sent. I hope you have an easy l&d. I am extremely sorry for the loss of your father. I know he will be with you in spirit. Also fwiw - I had a visit like that at 39 weeks and gave birth the next day. I hope the same is true for you.

I was the same at 40 weeks and had baby at 40 weeks and 4 days (starting having contractions at 40w3d). The day before contractions I walked for 6 hours around the Bronx zoo. Try and walk as much as humanly possible! Good luck!
