Im so p!ssed
Ok- last week I had posted about RJ's crib- which we have had for about 16 months being very wiggly, and slowly dislocating...
It wasnt at the point where it wasnt safe but it was on its way there, and for a crib that cost close to 1k + considering my child hardly EVER sleeps in his crib- I found this ridiculous and called Behr's...
Today I had to take the entire day off from work so they could send someone here between the hours of 9-6 (what a window )
Sure enough they came and told me the crib was coming apart at the joints, and there is nothing they could do- since the crib only has a 1 yr warranty... He said that as lonng as Ryan dosent jump up and down in it- it isnt unsafe (*** are they kidding me??? )
I went on to say how angry I was- that my son wasnt even born when it was delivered and that he didnt even move into the crib until he was 3 months old... there for the crib has only been in use for about 10 months- and not for nothing he sleeps with us for the most part!!!! He told me- he was gonna contact costumer service and they make take it and glue it (when I b!tched about glue- he said brand new or what that is how its done) but then Id be w/o a crib for awhile OR they order a part but it would all be at my expense!
Im furious~ People do not buy cribs everytime the have a baby- this is supposed to be the crib ALL my children will sleep in... For GOD sakes its supposed to turn into a toddler bed, and full size bed- how the heck is it supposed to make it that long- if its not holding up as a crib???? How do I know that the reason this happened wasnt because the Behrs employees didnt put it together improperly the 1st place!!!!
This is just so unfair and Im clueless who to call to rectify the situation!!! Should I contact Legacy- the maker of the crib???? Any advice is greatly needed and appreciated!

I would call the makers of the crib and tell them everything you just told us.

I don't blame you for being mad! I'd contact Legacy, they are part of child craft, right? I remember a while ago someone got a child craft crib from Burlington when they had that crappy return policy and when Burlington wouldn't help them child craft got them a new one.

def call the company, and tell them that you have already contacted the store you bought it from and they were no help. i am pretty sure the company has its separate warranty.

Absolutely call someone. That's real crap that its falling apart. There have been so many negative posts about Behr's.... I personally found them way overpriced and I think the negative publicity may shake some things up.

Well they're definitely checking the boards.
I just recieved an email:
HI princessmaris is having a problem with one of our cribs i don't know why is was not taken care of , but if you would please have her call michelle at 516 541-3600 we will order, at no cost ,replacment parts

Nah they have my email address from when I emailed them Diane's problems.
I just have faith in their customer service!

When a few of the pregnant moms had problems with Behrs, I said I was surprised because I thought their customer service was top notch. They got my crib earlier than scheduled because Joseph was born 6 weeks early.
I emailed them to point out this site. Said some of our moms had a problem & could them help her out.
I guess they've been monitoring the site (smart move on their part ) because I received an email from them today pointing out that you were having a problem & to call. I hadn't seen your post.
Anyway, info is above. They are going to help you out. That makes four moms they've helped since my first email!

I agree, thats not right!
I def agree! I have a legacy crib and DD has been in it every night since she was 8 weeks old and mine is not fallin apart at all, it's just as sturdy as it was from day 1, I still haven't even had to tighten any screws once yet.

WOW!!!!
Im shocked,,, YESTERDAY I got a phone call- saying they were ordering the part I was missing- but since Ive been @ work I havent called them back yet to figure out the details (ie: on whose cost they were ordering the part, how it would be getting fixed etc...)
I wonder if my thread had any influence on that!
Just goes to show you never know who is lurking (I guess in this case- them lurker worked in my favor )
