so get a load of this.
I was scheduled to attend a focus group meeting in Paramus, NJ today at 2 p.m. The way that this was set up was that my colleague attended a meeting at another NJ location yesterday and I was scheduled for today. Yesterday's meeting happens, no problem.
I get my car service to pick me up today and take me all the way to Paramus, only to find out that today's meeting was postponed until 8/1!!! Seems that no one mentioned that yesterday, or if it was mentioned yesterday, no one told me. My colleague said that no one mentioned it but she has a habit of being a scatterbrain.
So, I am back in the office and have wasted 2 hours when I could have been working. I had Met tickets tonight that I gave up because of this. I was supposed to go with Boosh, but because of this, I gave my ticket to FIL. He'll give it back to me if I want to go. But, now, having lost 2 hours, I don't know if that's possible. Have to see.

But that does **** abotu the Mets game.
Well i hear that we are getting thunderstorms so maybe it is better

it really doesn't benefit me -- i don't get paid by the hour and i don't make overtime
i get paid a base salary and i only go home when the work for the day is done. If we have to stay late, we don't get compensated

and i wasn't gonna bring this up, but since you wanted to mention it RON and i am in a feisty mood, i will say this:
i looked at my calendar this morning and it said, July 19th, 2005, not October 1, 2005. I watched SportsCenter and there was no mention of the World Series.
So, the bottom line is, enjoy the moment, they done good, BUT, it's only 1/2 a game and we still have over 2 mos to go.
Don't break out the ticker tape just yet
