I'm so flipping mad right now and I need to vent

Okay I know I am being partially irrational here so I am talking myself down by venting.

My sister J is watching my kids this week as our nanny had a a family emergency.

I had mentioned to J that my other sister C could possibly take DS our for one afternoon to give her a break.

Apparently J told C that she should stop by this afternoon after DS had his nap, and to call her first.

I just got a text from J that C showed up without calling her and said that she wanted to see DS before his nap - meaning that she was going to stay and hang out while DS napped and then do whatever when he woke up.

First of all, J is WORKING. Yeah, they are her niece and nephew but she is working as my nanny. C would never dare do this if our hired nanny was there. (Yes, we are paying J). Secondly, my home is not a hangout! I am so annoyed that C thought it was fine to just drop by, without a phone call to me or to J. Thirdly, J and C don't even get along, so I don't see why C even wants to be there while DS is sleeping.

I am a little mad that no one even ran this by me but I see that by suggesting it, J kind of took the idea and ran with it, so I'm not too pizzed about that.

I get that they are my sisters but I am not the type to just "drop by" - I always call first. And neither of them bothered to confirm this playdate with me, the mother.

Vent over - I don't even know if there is anything I can say or do since I was the one who made the suggestion in the first place but I know I'm going to have to lay down some ground rules if J ever fills in for me again. Add that to the fact that you can never, ever tell C she's done something wrong...

Ugh, it sounds like C wants to make her "presence" known.

Showing up unannounced and hanging out all day would irk me, but as long as she doesn't drive J nuts, then it's not all that bad, right?

I feel bad for J too, because it seems like she's stuck in the middle.

LB you are totally entitled to be pizzed. It must be hard enough with your regular nanny away and you just being back at work.

If C is the type to start drama and continue to do things like this for the duration of J watching your kids, you might want to just let it slide, as much as that is even more frustrating, in case she decides to do something more annoying later.

But what the heck do I know, I'm an only child!

Considering the relationship you've said you have with your sisters, I can see why you're annoyed.

I wouldn't think twice about my sister dropping by while my Mom or someone was babysitting and just hanging out all day .........but I'll be the first to admit it irritates me when SIL does it while MIL is there .......

{{walking on tiptoes here}} LB this isn't really about an unannounced playdate, right? {{tiptoes back a safe distance}}

I get that it's rude and "C" is just kind of pushing her agenda on all of you, but the upside is that J seems okay about it and *she's* the one who has to deal with C's presence for a few hours, kwim? The kids are well taken care of *and* get to spend some time with their aunties so try not to be too upset, it'll just distract you and make you more irritated if you focus on it.

Who knows maybe C is just bored today or just wants to see Luca & Izzy Whatever let her and J work it out.

And well of course you're irrational we all know this but love you anyway I'm sure your family is the same {{hoofs it back to NFR and slams door behind her}}

Like I said, I know I'm being partially irrational, it's par for the course these days with me

J is most definitely NOT okay with her hanging out there - the plan was for C to take DS out, not spend time in the house. C totally went against what they had planned by not calling in advance, which isn't fair to me or J. And if she was going to take him out, was anyone planning on calling me so I knew where my son was going? SO many frustrations here, only one outlet
