I'm so clueless...
I saw Dr. Goldschlag today (who is the BEST dr. I've ever been to, btw). He told me that w/ my next cycle, we'd do an IUI w/ hormone injections.
I asked him every conceivable question EXCEPT the name of the hormones!!! Now, obviously, I'm going to call back, but is there a set protocol (not dosage, but names only) of hormone injections you get for an IUI? I feel like such an idiot...

Re: I'm so clueless...
That depends...it could be a number of things as there are a few protocols:
1. Natural cycle with monitoring and OPKs to detect your surge prior to ovulation along with the trigger shot (HcG hormone), to trigger Ovulation prior to IUI.
2. Clomid cycle w/Trigger and IUI
3. Injectible cycle w/Trigger and IUI
Injectibles for IUI are usually Gonal-F or Follitisim.
ETA: I misread your OP. Clomid is not injectible, it's a pill.

Re: I'm so clueless...
Yes, he actually gave me the option, and I chose the injectables against Clomid, because it increases my chances, and he's willing to be a aggressive with this as I am. So, I guess I'll either be going with Gonal-f or follitism.
Do you know anything about either? I can't believe I left w/o asking these ??. I guess I can call tomorrow, but I'll be pondering all night. Thank you for ignoring my ignorance & just putting my mind at ease....
