HELP!!! Which phone (I am clueless)? UPDATED 3/17

I have verizon service and I feel it is the best service for me. My cell cr@pped out on me today and now I need a new cell phone (my phone is 3 1/2 years old and it was time for a new one...I was hoping I would not have to get a new one so soon for financial reasons).

It would be a business expense and I can write it off. Plus, verizon is giving me a GREAT deal on either phone. I am 32 years old and need my phone for my business. I DO NOT want a phone designed for a teenager, KWIM?

Has anyone had any experiences with either one of these phones? Negatives? Positives? PLEASE be honest with the pros and cons. TIA!

Here's what I need:
-a phone that works and that is NOT super sensitive
-a calendar basically a way to keep my schedule so I would not have to carry around my antiquated pocket calendar.
-access to email (Internet not SO important, but email..a necessity)
-something that I can navigate easily

What I don't need (but would be nice as an extra):
-a camera in my phone
-music MP3 or Ipod type stuff
-texting


Which one?

Blackberry smartphone

2) Palm® Treo™ 755p Smartphone
Palm smartphone


UPDATE 3/17: I bought the blackberry pearl in Pink. I hope it is a great as everyone says it is.

my father has had both the treo and the blackberry and he told me he prefers the blackberry b/c of its features. (both were paid for by work so cost wasn't a factor)

Thanks! Why does he like it so much? I researched online and asked around and basically the results were...

50% said blackberry
50% said treo

i actually think the main reason was because of the scroll button on the side of the bb. can you go into a store and check them both out?

Al has the Blackberry World and loves it. He's hard to please - he had a lot of complaints about his previous phone (motorola Q).

I have the Blackberry Pearl, and think its great. Its not as good as the World for writing emails, since the keyboard is condensed, but I rarely text and I use it more to read emails than respond to them. I prefer the smaller size, and the Pearl has a camera - the World does not.

They're super easy to use. The only con I've noticed is picking up background noise when in a loud place.

My FH runs a business, and has been using treo phones for the past 4 years since they came out, that phone is his life, it syncs up with his computer at work, and his outlook and email. He cant function without it.

I have the BB Curve & I love it! I don't really use it for email because it is only for personal use, not work. But I use it a lot for texting & Im'ing. I also use it help organize my life a little better. I have had for 6 months now & I am starting to use the calendar & task list & memo pad more often.

That being said my sister has the treo & she likes it over the BB because of the touch screen. But that is something that does not matter to me...Other than that I don't know of any other huge differences.

I love my Blackberry Pearl - I use it for work and it was SO easy to set up and integrate with my Calendar and Email.

I especially like that it came in Pink.
