Im posting here with a AF question

I stopped taking the pill last month and got AF on sept 6th... it has been like 40 days and still no AF

I took a preggo test to be on the sfae side and thankfully it was negative...but how long is this going to take???

I was on the pill for 7plus years

It usually takes a few months for your body to regulate. I went off BCP in February and I took them for just about 10 years. I have gotten AF every month but my cycles vary. I was getting AF every 24 days, then one month it was almost 30 days (and I took like 8 HPT to see if I was pregnant because I really thought I was)....and this month I got it in 21 days.

It's perfectly normal what you are going through. Give it some time and it will start to come on a normal schedule.

The first month I was fine, 2nd - 41 days, 3rd - 20days... who the heck knows when I am going to get it next!


One of my friends went off and she is on day 71 with no AF!! She went to the doctor and she is not pregnant. If AF doesnt come by the end of the month he is going to give her something to force it.

I was on BCP for 8 years, my cycles have been 29, 29, 33, 31, 41 and I am currently on CD 32.

Last month I called the dr when it was 40 days and nothing and I was told that my body is adjusting and that its normal. They told me they only look into it if I miss 2 periods in a row.

So my advice is wait it out....your body is adjusting. Sorry...I know it sucks!

Yea I have also gained five pouns in the 6 weeks I have been off it and I feel GROSS...

Im hoping the bloating will go away when AF arrives.
