I'm out!
Oh well, I knew it would be too easy to be off BCP one month and have a HM baby. But here's my dilema, I am on calendar day 24, so it looks like I reverting back to a 21 day cycle. How the heck am I gonna figure out when I O? Should I temp or use OPK's. I don't think checking the CM is the way for me since I do so right before my cycle. Thanks in advance for the advice ladies

Sorry this was not your month. If you are having shorter cycles, maybe the OPK's will be your best bet so that you can pinpoint your ovulation!

we're trying the OPKs for the first time (the clearblue digitals) -- maybe that would help you figure out when you O?

yeah I'm thinking OPK's may be the way to go since I normally hve a 21 day cycle but think I might be Oing in the late side!

yeah, it's hard to tell because it's all based on the "luteal" phase which is usually 14 days... but that isn't the case for everyone!
I started the clearblue digital OPKs on Monday (CD 10) and we're still going! Just to let you know, they're a bit expensive! Also, they don't mention anything about not using FMU - so I have been. Hopefully that hasn't been affecting my results. On the instructions it says "You can test any time of day, but it should be at about the same time each day (many women find it most convenient first thing in the morning)."
Here is a link to the instructions. I found it helpful to familiarize myself with them before getting the tests!

I had short cycles too....24 days and I used OPKs to determine my O date. The 1st month I started on day 10 and it was already positive, so the next month I started on day 8. In the box of OPKs it gives you suggestions on what days to start testing based on how long your cycles are.
