I'm so sorry! i have been doing it for years and never had an experience like you! But I won't have it done at a nail salon either.
Yes, they are waxing all over, but fingers shouldn't be "in" you! Also, they do do the backdoor, but that hurts the least to me. It's never comfortable, but it has never hurt that badly either. The more you do it, the better it gets, I promise!!!!

it's COMPLETELY different...only grabs the HAIR not the SKIN....all the turkish women do it. Nature's Touch in Setauket is excellent and so is Daisy Spa in Centereach. I would NEVER EVER let a nail salon lady wax me...they have NO IDEA what they are doing!
sorry to crash this post. Does anyone know of any salons that do Sugaring in Queens or Nassau not too far from queens? Setauket & Centereach are a little far. I am very curious now. tia

OMG... as someone who has had it done with both regular hard wax and sugar wax... I can tell you there is a HUGE difference. Reg wax is killer... it hurts so bad! I was bruised down there for over 3 weeks! You need to make sure they use sugar wax (p.s. chinese places lie and say its sugar wax cause either they don't understand english or they don't think there is a difference).
I can't believe you went to a nail place for this... they usually don't follow all the correct "sanitary procedures". I've seen women get their eyebrows waxed at a nail place and they use the same stick / cup of wax on everyone. It's totally unsanitary... i would never trust a place like that with my vag lol.
If you went to a good Turkish salon... you would def want to do it again.

Totally agree. Daisy Spa rocks.. she is awesome.. it literally doesnt even hurt. She also thread my lip and THAT FREKKIN HURTS. Way more than the brazillian.

As someone that has been waxing for years its really not that bad but my first experience I was  my first time as yes I felt violated but I love the after results I have kept it up went during pregnancy and still continue to go.
I used to go to J-Sisters Salon in the city and now I go to Natura in Queens on Steinway Street they're brazilian and they're great and professional

That was hysterical! I can't believe you didn't ask for recommendations before you went. Never ever ever at a nail salon. Like others said you want a pro at this. I've been doing it for years and it's really not that bad if you go to a good place

I can never get this done because my DH has a HUGE thing about baldness down there- he can't have sex with me if I'm bald down there- he says he feels like a pedophile with at 10 year old girl!
But I have to say- I have even stopped getting my eyebrows waxed at nail salons- I really don't think they are trained on waxing like they shoudl be- and I have ended up burned, skin ripped off, and with uneven brows one too many times.
I'd say next time try a more reputable place where you won't be violated, tortured and humilated!

I didn't even get vicodin or percocet after giving birth, just some lousy motrin! And I assure you a Brazilian is a walk in the park compared to that.
