I'm having a baby!!! And I've already got a question
I got my BFP this morning and I'm waiting for the Dr. to confirm it this afternoon. Am I supposed to make an appointment with my Obgyn immediately? DH and I are leaving for Nebraska on Thursday, so should I try to see the Dr. before I leave, or can it wait until we get back next week?
ETS- the Dr. called me early to confirm that I'm preggers!!!
I called my OBGYN and they said to just stop by and have blood drawn and we'll go from there. I probably won't need to see the Dr. for a couple of weeks.

They usually dont see you till about 6 to 8 weeks...

If it were me, I would definitely see the Dr. before I leave. Just tell them your situation, they should see you right away.

I would call you OB and tell them that you got your BFP. They usually won't schedule you until you are about 7-8 weeks along.

Congratulations! I love how this board is growing!
Call your dr and schedule an appointment, they probably wont want to see you until around 8 weeks anyway (unless you are high risk or have been seeing an RE), so you should be fine to go away on vacation. But call to make sure.

i would call the obgyn to just schedule your appt. but as the other girls said, they usually dont see you till around 8 weeks anyway. i just read your post on the other board. what a great valentines gift!!!!

Congratulations!
Evry dr. is different , mine saw me at 4 weeks and then again at 5 weeks b/c at 4 it was too early to see anything on the sonagram.

congrats, what awesome news!!!! My OB didnt see me until I was just over 6 weeks. I would just call and let them know and they will schedule you accordingly! congrats again!

Like the other ladies said, they usually don't see you until 6-8 weeks along. Unless you are high risk, then it would be right away.

congrats! I saw my Dr. at 4 weeks and just again yesterday at 8 weeks.
Definitely call your Dr. and see what the procedure is...

I only had my first appt. today and I'm 8 weeks. The policy at this office is they see you at 8 weeks unless you feel you need to come in sooner. I figured I would wait till then becasue I knew I was PG and I wanted to not be disapointed if it was too early to see something. Even today at 8 weeks - baby bean was very tiny.
If you feel more comfortable going in sooner, then make the call :)

I went in yesterday and they drew some blood just to check my hormone levels, but my first official appointment isn't until March 10.
