Wedding day was the BEST DAY EVER

I barely slept the whole week before the wedding- between moving and wedding and HM (we left 12 hrs after the reception), but I slept like a BABY the night before the wedding. I was asleep by 12 and didn't get up until 8! It was too early to start doing things, so I laid in bed and watched the grey's anatomy episode from the night before online.

My hair appt was at 11, and it was just go go go from there.

I was SOOOO not your typical bride. I ate pickles and drank wine while my makeup was being done.

I was early to my church.
My bustle didn't break!
I ate my entire dinner....AND cocktail hour food too! (Please - I'm wayyyyy too much of a chunk to miss that!!)
My shoes stayed on all night.
I DANCED LIKE A LUNATIC!!!

Put it this way...one of the photogs stayed longer than he was paid for because the funniest things kept on happening! The last hour of my wedding was INSANE.... my sister was ON THE BAR....My Dad kept pumping my bridal party and friends full of some mysterious dark liquor shots.....I friggen ROCKED the cowbell......and then I sat on the dance floor.

C'mon - when your videographer says, "This is insane, you're all a bunch of mental patients," you know it was a damn good time.

MY FLOWERS- oh my GOD they were incredible. They were huge and vibrant and even more than I expected or wished for. My BoK was wrapped in the only piece that remains of my Mom's wedding dress. The colors looked incredible against my girls' sapphire dresses. LAURIE FROM LA BLOSSOM is the greatest florist everrrrrrrr. I developed a relationship with her while planning my wedding - she is just a fantastic person with a huge heart. I wanted an aisle runner SO BADLY but my church wouldn't allow it....Laurie knew how badly I wanted one, so in it's place, she made me a satin table runner with our names and the date and the most beautiful quote....it was on our dais when I got into the room. I burst into tears when I saw it. She's INCREDIBLE!!!! I've been married 11 days, and my BoK is still alive on my kitchen table.

I'm in love with Christine Viola...we would make some adorable and extremely efficient babies. LoL. Damn, too bad we're both married. She had everything, did everything, was everywhere, and just made everything SO EASY.

I cried in the back of the church when I heard the Royal Brass start the Trumpet Voluntary. My church was GLOWING. My ceremony was just about to start at dusk... the air outside was clear, cold and crisp and the church was just warm and OMG, I can't even start to describe it. AHHHH!!!!!!

I can't wait for my photos and video....I am writing GLOWING reviews for my DJ, Sinatra singer, and percussionist. Fox Hollow waited on me hand and foot. My bridal attendant even offered to help me pee. Me: "Uh, sweets, THANKS, but I got this one." Everything was just beautiful and perfect and flawless and almost too good to be true.

BEST decision ever was to go back to our apartment after the wedding. Granted, it wasn't until about 3am, but I took a shower, got a great night of sleep, and left the house at 10am to buy an international phone card, get my hair cut, and drop my car at my parents' house (my apartment driveway was being paved). AND THEN WE WERE IN THE LIMO TO THE AIRPORT!!!!! We had a great flight there, Italy was incredible, flight home was HORRENDOUS- I will never fly Air France again, nor will I enter CDG airport in Paris.

Entrance into the reception - OMG - my friend is SO SWEET .... she knew how much I wanted snow on my wedding day, so she HAND PUNCHED PAPER and put it in jars labeled "Wedding Day Snow" and our guests threw it at us as we entered the reception!!! I'll love her forever for that
