I'm afraid I did the HCG wrong last night...
I started getting it together at 11:35, because it needed to be injected at 11:45. I used the syringe with the IM needle to draw up 2mL of the liquid, then injected that into the powder. Once the powder was dissolved- I couldn't figure out how to pull it up back into the syringe! (I probably sound like an idiot-lol) The needle didn't reach down into the liquid and if I turned it upside down I would have had the same issue. I had to tilt it on its side and withdraw it. There was lots of air bubbles (which came out when I tapped the syringe) and I couldn't get all of it out. Most of it- but not all. There was at least 5 drops left on the bottom. I was going to have DH give me a 2nd injection with the rest, but then figured the first was enough to do the job, and I was having a hard time pulling the rest into the syringe.
Please tell me why I am such a moron and how you did this injection. Thanks!
On a side note- Blood was drawn this morning and retrieval instructions were given!

Re: I'm afraid I did the HCG wrong last night...
I think you are ok. The HCG is to "loosen up" the eggs from the follicles, that's what they told me. Hopefully this will be it for you, but if you have to do it again, ask for Ovidrel, it's a pre-loaded syringe and you don't have to mix it.
I did 2 shots of Ovidrel at 11:45pm as well last night, my retrieval is 10:45 am tomorrow morning!
GOod luck!

Totally agree, the Ovidrel is a LOT easier
Good luck tomorrow

You need to turn the vile upside down, then pull the needle down so that the tip of the needle is completely in the liquid (not the air at the bottom)... that's what I remember (they just showed me on Tuesday).

Wow- what a simple solution!
I cannot believe I didn't even THINK to do that. I even tried cutting the top of the vial off. That was a no-go!
