If your dh had a sperm analysis done-
i have a couple questions..
-what doctor did you go to for that? the RE? or just an obgyn? or just a general doctor?
-how did the- ahem- sample- get taken? at the doctors office? or at home?
Thanks...looking to do this but looking at the easiest way and least embarrassing for dh...

My ob gyn wrote the lab order. It isn't done in my ob's office. She recommended a lab. You can do it at home and drop it off at the lab or some have rooms you can do it in.

Same here. I went to my ob/gyn and he suggested a SA for DH to make sure all was good with him. He gave me a sterile cup to take home (oh, how thrilled DH was about all of this!). DH did his thing at home and brought it to the lab.
But make sure you call the lab beforehand.....there are specific times for drop off and the sample has to get to the lab within an hour of it being done.

my DH has had several done - his regular md wrote a script and he just went to a lab (andy dr can write a script but have to go to lab with sample)
also had one with RE and one at urologist ( these have labs at the office that process samples)
All 3 times he did it at home and dropped off the sample - just know that the sample has to be there within 1 hour of producing it - so make sure the lab isnt too far.

RE. Did it himself at home in a sterile cup provided by the doctor.

same for me as PP, my OB/GYN wrote the script for him sent me home with the sterile cup and he gave the sample at home and we just had to have it at the lab within one hour and like others said, make sure you know the hours and which labs do it - not all labs to SA, so do that research first.
