If you voted for Biden / Harris....

How are you feeling about their first 100+ days?

Did they deliver what they promised?

What are you happy about?

Anything you are dissatisfied with?

Do you think the country is in a better place now?

I would like to keep it civil, and hear just from those who voted Biden / Harris.

I feel like we are back to normal. He’s not an arrogant and abrasive person who spews verbal diarrhea and insults people every single day. Are they perfect? No. But they are optimistic and that spreads. I feel optimistic.

I feel like normalcy has been restored to this country. In addition, I appreciate how Biden speaks to EVERY American, not just those that voted for him. It's a small thing but it creates a sense of unity. Things just feel less chaotic and contentious now. Instead of focusing on all the things Trump did wrong, Biden is focused on moving forward and doing what's best for the country.

I think the administration has done a good job pushing the vaccine rollout along to ensure there is plenty available to all that want it. I feel like we're on a good path to putting the pandemic behind us.

I feel like Biden's personality is so much calmer and less combative which will serve him well as he looks to get things pushed through Congress. He understands the job at hand and conducts himself accordingly. I no longer feel like we are the laughing stock of the world.

How are you feeling about their first 100+ days?
Overall, I feel OK. I'm trying to look at things objectively and not compare this administration to any other, which is hard to do.
Did they deliver what they promised?
For the most part, I believe they have done most, but not all of what I expected.
What are you happy about?
I am happy about the calm. I am happy with daily press briefings. I am happy that the vaccine rollout got underway fairly quickly and has been made available to those who want it. I am happy that thus far Biden has either accomplished his goal, or is working toward almost all his promises, and has only abandoned those that the experts around him have said would be counterproductive.
Anything you are dissatisfied with?
I am not happy with the commission to study the effect of increasing the number of Supreme Court justices. Commissions like that are designed to cause things to die and not truly be looked at seriously. Not that I think increasing the number of justices is the right move to counter McConnell's power-grab of two seats on the high court. I just don't think a commission to "study" is the right move either since it is unlikely to produce anything worthwhile. I am not happy with what is happening at the southern border, but I wasn't happy with what was happening before either. I am glad to see that an immigration bill was sent to Congress as promised, and that the border wall construction has stopped while measures are being taken to repair the damage done to wildlife.
Do you think the country is in a better place now?
Yes, I do - but - this is the honeymoon phase. Ask me again next year after the state of the union address.

I would like to keep it civil, and hear just from those who voted Biden / Harris.

Re: If you voted for Biden / Harris....

i'm not very articulate about politics, so i'm going to give a bit of a cop-out answer...

all of the above!

i no longer fear listening to the news and what crazy things are happening. yes, there were days when i feared what i would discover our government had done/said. i am not living there any more.

even if the current administration doesn't do everything that was promised, even if some things backfire... i am in a much healthier place (mentally).

i am not anti-republican. there are a lot of things that the republican philosophy stands for that i agree with and there are things that the democratic philosophy stands for that i don't agree with.

and yes, ask me again in a year or two. things might change.

I think the country is on a better trajectory.
I like that there is not constant turmoil in the higher levels of government.
I am back and forth on Biden's tax reform. I do think that the previous administration manipulated tax code to be an ongoing benefit for themselves. Not crazy about the cap gain reform but I do think that corporate tax rates should be raised. If corporations want to limit their tax liability - they can reinvest in themselves - pay more to workers and not as dividends or profit.
I think the southern border has been a mess for a long time and that can't be cleaned up in 100 days. I do agree that a different approach needs to be implemented so I am hopeful that investigating how to help repair the infrastructure of Central America, especially, will lead to lessening the move to the border. Make it safer to stay in Central America.
I am concerned about the continuation of so much miss information out there. There is this meme going around about how bad things are now...N. Korea and missiles..That is not new to this administration as it was happening in 2019. I would like to see this stemmed in some way but I am not sure and I am not sure how much I want gov't to control Big Tech.

Ditto - I don't care if he delivered everything he promised in the first 100 days. I'm just SOOOOOOO glad we don't have daily news stories about awful/dumb things Trump said or did.

I honestly voted because I simply can't stand Trump. I just dont understand why both sides have to cater to the extremes? Like we go from completely closing the border and building a wall to keep everyone out to just letting everyone in. No tax incentives for middle class working families but next thing you know we're throwing money at any and everyone to supposedly stimulate the economy. I definitely lean more liberal but next time around I'd like to see a much more moderate, middle of the road type candidate with reasonable policies. I lean more Democrat, but I'd like to see people stay in jail when they commit a crime, ya know? I'm just disheartened with all that's gone on the past few years and tired of the political circus...

Well I don’t have a hat or a bumper sticker, flags, or an undying and unquestionable devotion to Biden, so I’m able to be critical because I’m not in cult.

I wouldn’t say I’m over the moon but I didn’t expect to be. I hold elected officials accountable and I don’t fan girl over them.

I don’t think we are in a better place though. Still too much division and stress. I think T and Fox News really fueled that.

I agree with a lot of what Cookie mentioned above.

I completely agree!!!! There needs to be a balance. I’m also pretty liberal but there are some issues that are ridiculous IMO. But trump bright out the cruel side in too many people. I’d rather people choose a pronoun than nazi-ism become acceptable.

How are you feeling about their first 100+ days?

I feel like he needs to be more neutral on things he says, like Chuavin verdict, you can say justice was served without implying all cops suck. I do feel like there is less chaos with him in office.

Did they deliver what they promised?

I knew he wasn’t going to deliver what he promised because it seemed far fetched. So I’m not surprised.

What are you happy about?

I didn’t vote for Biden with the expectation that I was going to be immediately happy with our government but with the hope to get an experienced person in office and a person who was becoming unhinged out of office. I’m still not happy with our government.

Anything you are dissatisfied with?

Do you think the country is in a better place now?
I think it’s in a better place then last year but I think some of it is because of Biden and most of it is due to the natural progression of things that was already place.

I would like to keep it civil, and hear just from those who voted Biden / Harris.

Re: If you voted for Biden / Harris....

I think he has overall delivered on his promises although there is more work to be done.  In general, I appreciate that the government is moving back towards working for the people, not just for the rich and corporations.

I am thrilled at the prompt reversal of Trump era policies such as pulling us out of Paris, the WHO, the reversal of the discriminatory Muslim ban, etc.

I am beyond thrilled at the rapid distribution of the vaccine.  It might have been quickly created under Trump, but without money to allocate it, thousands died in the fall who didn't have to.  Fortunately, that got addressed.

I am very happy about the task force to reunite children with their parents.  It had its first success recently.

The ARP is a great bill.

I am glad that the situation at the border is ameliorated from the recent increase.

I love the American Jobs Plan.

If I'm unhappy with anything, it's mostly that he didn't go far enough in certain areas.  The AJP, for example, should totally reverse the Trump corporate tax cuts, not just decrease them.  It's ridiculous at this point.  Trickle down economics doesn't work.

The truth is that Biden is still a moderate.  Sure, he might be more progressive than he was 10 or 20 years ago, but so is society. The borders are not even close to open and he is not letting criminals out of jail.  People like to paint him as far left, but that does not make it so.  Most of the major hallmark legislative of the progressive left is not on his agenda.  People tend to conflate things like the Marshall Plan for Moms with Biden's plans but that was not introduced by him, has nothing to do with him, and he has not remarked on it in public.

All of this. I 100% admit I don’t even know what he promised cause I didn’t care.

Anyone was better than Trump. I would
Have voted for whoever had a chance to beat trump plain and simple.

Some Trump policies probably could have actually been good but the inability to keep his mouth shut was his problem. He purposely divided the country and ruined the Republican Party. Not sure what was so hard for him to understand he’s the president and can not constantly bicker with people on Twitter.

Seriously hope the Republican Party puts up a good candidate hell any candidate candidate that’s not trump!!!

Re: If you voted for Biden / Harris....

He was definitely not my first choice, but he wasn't trump, so he got my vote.

Biden's first 100 days

He's completely met 28 of the 61 promises for his first 100 days, and partially met another 30, so he's at least addressed 58 out of 61 promises.

Like others have mentioned, I like the calm. I'm happy that we aren't discussing how many Federal laws have been broken each day, how many dictators the POTUS has been kissing up to, how the pres has been lining his own pockets and his buddy's pockets, and how he's been pissing off our allies and cuddling up to our enemies.

It's nice to get back to arguing about what policies the potus has made, and how good or bad the policies are.

If you voted for Biden / Harris....

I voted for Biden this time around and I probably would have voted for him the first time Trump ran. He is a moderate and hoping that he will not be making any drastic changes. I also like the calm. It definitely takes off the stress that everyone was living in every day. I do think that though, the calm is not all about him being elected. It's the media basically laying off of him and the republicans not picketing or protesting every single day. I am looking forward to getting back to real politics and fixing the problems in this country.

I love how many say they like the "calm" but that's because media cuddles him like a baby & will rarely ever report on something negative. With Trump they attacked his every little move and reported every single thing he said. Of course it seemed like chaos. If I didn’t hear about what he said on Twitter here or the media, I would have never known. Do you all follow Biden on Twitter too as I don’t hear them speaking on the news about it?

Also how about Kamala never visiting the border? No one has mentioned that again. We are ok that they lied to us that she would go and be the lead person with that?

There is also the reverse view of that Trump created his own chaos. Trump loved the chaos he stirred up. He's the turd in the pool...not the media. There is plenty of criticism of Biden in the media. Not many are happy about his tax plan proposal. They have been very harsh in that criticism. If you read and watched as much diversified news as you state you do - You should have noticed.

When is the last time you turned on the news and they were attacking Biden? Some might disagree but they have not been down right nasty. Heck the questions asked are always fluff.
If Trump said Pence was going to go to the border and he never went, you know the media would be hounding on it forever.
