if you use day care....
HI
a friend is looking into day care and would like opinions on MAT certifications.
for those that have children in day care, do you think its essential that the center has the certifiction?
any + or - with this?
Alos if anyone has a center they woureccommend in the massapequa area that would be helpful as well!

I worked at a daycare and was MAT Certified. It meant that those people who were certified could give out medication to the students. This can range from anitbiotics to epipen. It also meant that the meds. would be stored properly. MAT also dealt with CPR and first aid training.
It is important!

DS's daycare is MAT certified and I think it's extremely important, if even just for the peace of mind it brings. I like knowing they know what to do in an emergency and could administer medication if DS ever was in a situation where he needed it and I could not be there.
