If you send Benadryl into school or daycare

What do you send? A whole bottle with the measuring cup or a few of the perfect measure spoons?

TIA!

i know in public school (at least my district) it has to be in the ORIGINAL packaging. i believe you have to sign a consent form and certain meds won't be given at all(don't know the specifics).

I never sent Benadryl but I do know that my daycare requires a note everyday the medicine is going to be administered

Thanks!

We have the action plan from his allergist and I have both kinds of Benadryl in the house. I figured that the Perfect Measure spoons would be easier for the school but wanted to see what others do. Guess there aren't many kids with allergies in school yet.

When my son was in preschool, they did not require an allergist's note - I just left them instructions and an unopened bottle of the liquid benadryl. However, the perfect measures I think are a better idea if you are on the 1 tsp. dose.

Now that my son is starting kindergarten, I have a note from the allergist detailing the food allergies and the dose of benadryl, which is required. I am sending in the liquid since he is now up to 2 tsp. in a reaction. Chat Icon
