Re: If you made a hotel reservation...

I would think it has 2 double (or queen) beds instead of one king size.

Re: If you made a hotel reservation...

this depends!! Does it say economy double bed, or handicap accessible double bed or two double beds?

What chain is the reservation with?

Re: If you made a hotel reservation...

Most hotel chain web sites explain on their site what double bed means for them, so you can reserve accordingly.

Maybe just call and ask for certaintity.

It just says "double bed" - no other wording.

I did call to confirm because in my mind, I was thinking two full-sized beds. The receptionist told me that a double bed was the same as a queen bed and made me feel like I should know that already Chat Icon

Actually, she is wrong. A double bed is the same as a full bed. Larger than that would be a Queen and even bigger is a King sized.

Just beware - I HAVE been in hotels that only have ONE double bed (or full) in the room. It may not mean two beds.

DH and I are sharing so it's okay if that's the case but I hope she is wrong and it's a Queen Chat Icon

Re: If you made a hotel reservation...

A double bed is just slightly bigger than a twin, JUST enough for 2 people.
