If you like to cook - please come in
I am not into cooking at all and I am far from domestically talented! So this may seem silly - but would you prefer a gift card to Sur La Table or Williams Sonoma? (Or something else along those lines). Is Williams Sonoma more high-end? This would be a gift for my SIL. Thanks!

I LOVE both, they both offer some items that are exclusive to their store but for the most part, you can find a lot of the same things between the stores. You can't go wrong with either gift card, I'd love a shopping spree in either one!! They are both some of my favorite stores!!

I think sur la table is probably higher end. BIL is a professional, fine dining chef and that's one of the places they registered. I would just look to see if they have both stores somewhat locally though.

There is more variety at Sur La Table too -- so, more options for which SIL can use the gift card

Re: If you like to cook - please come in
I like both, I think both are "high end". For me, personally, it would just be more convenient at Sur La Table because I have a location very close to my home. That said, I would never be anything but thrilled if I got Williams Sonoma instead -- I would just make it a point to drive a bit to their location. I love to cook and love to bake - I would be able to spend that money in a heartbeat at either store!

I would love either one personally. However I know Sur La Table has the different cooking classes you can take too, though I'm not sure if you can use a gift card towards them.

You can Imdid it for my SIL last Christmas and she loved it!
Sur La Table gets my vote, too.
