If you have/want a third child, what is the age gap?

If we were to go for a third, I think I want a 3 year gap between DS#2 and DC#3.

My 2 sons are exactly 2 years apart. That way, DS#1 would be in kindergarten and DS#2 would be in preschool.

Dd1 and dd2 will be 21 months apart. If we go for a third we want dd2 to be 3 years old when dc3 would be born.

My boys are 22 months apart. We said we'd probably try to go for a slightly larger gap between #2 and #3, like closer to 3 years.

I pretty much think we are done at 2, BUT if I ever considered a 3rd, it wouldn't be till DD was 4 and DS was 7. This is part of the reason I feel done...not ready for a 3rd anytime soon and I am afraid if I ever am, I won't want to go back to the baby stage when my DC are way past that.

#1 and #2 are exactly 24 months apart. When DD#3 was born, DS was almost 7, DD almost 5. I like the gap since the older two are pretty self sufficent and can be left unsupervised to play, etc. So when I need to focus on #3, I can. Unlike when #2 was born, #1 was still pretty much a toddler at his peak!

DS1 & DS2 are 2.5 years apart.
DS2 and DD are 3.5 years apart.

I found the longer age gap significantly easier to handle.

17 months between DC1 and DC2

A week shy of 3 yrs between DC2 and DC3

I like it..so far (DC3 is only 8 weeks old)

I didnt want to wat any longer...really wanted a little closer...just bec 1 and 2 were so close and didnt want #3 to feel left out later on bec she would be soo much younger than 1 and 2

DD#2 is 2 months old. I would start TTC when she is almost 2 if I can convince DH to have a 3rd.

I would like them to be closer to 3 years apart.

ETA: DD1 and DD2 are 20m apart

If things work out the way they should, DC#3 will be born when DS is around 5 and DD is around 3.5. I am hoping it's easier than the 18 month gap between the two of them!

DS and DD are 2 years 10 months apart. If we go for a third I would like the gap to be less. More like 2 years. I very much want to have a third but will have to wait and see what DH and our $$ situation look like. DD is only 4 months old.

1st who is 8 yrs old now - 28 months older than 2nd .

2nd - 4 yrs, 2.5 months older than who is now almost 15 months old.

1st is almost 7 years older than .

We TTC sooner for our last, but because of money and medical reasons it took longer.

My twins were 26 months when DD2 was born.
If (and a very big if at that) we were to have another, I'd think I'd wait until the twins were in Kindergarten - so that would be a 6 year gap between them and #4, and a 4 year gap between #2 and #3.

DS#1 and DS#2 are 15months apart. If we go for a 3rd then I'm looking end of summer 2013. DS#1 will be 5 and DS#2 will be 4 when DC#3 is born.

My girls are 19 months apart. We are going to try for a third over the summer. Our girls will hopefully be 6 and 4.5 when another comes around. We wanted them closer, but waited for a variety of reasons.

My first 2 are 23 months apart, the third will be ~28 months younger than my 2nd.

My first two DC are exactly 2 years apart.

DC #3 will be 6 and 8 years younger! Obviously wanted them a little closer, but a few things happened along the way and it just happened when it did.

There is a 23 month age difference for my two boys and if I could plan it for the next baby ds#2 will be 3 or 4.

#1 and #2 are almost exactly 2.5 yrs apart. #2 and #3 - are a little over 3.5 yrs apart - a little further than I would have liked but what was in the cards for me.

My oldest two are 14 months apart. My youngest is 3 years younger than my middle child.

DS will be 3.5 when #2 is born. I'd like a 2-3 year age difference between #2 and #3.

My 2 girls are exactly 2 years apart, and IF(not sure if I want the 3rd) we have a third I would want my oldest in kindergarten as well so I wouldn't have 3 in daycare at the same time. I kind of like the 2 year gap though.

My girls are 1.5 years apart; their brother is 3.5 years younger than the next sister.

When he was born DD#1 was in FT kindgergarten and DD#2 nursery 3 half-days. It worked out great!
