If you could vacation without DC, would you?

We're planning on going to Disney for the Food and Wine Festival in October or November. DS will be 8 or 9 months depending on when we go. We are torn, we were going to bring him but my mom has offered to watch him and we might take her up on. It's not like he would remember a trip to Disney at that age anyway.

I would say do it, especially if you haven't been away together since your wedding!!!

With an 8 month old, yes I would and I did! Now I have 2 kids almost 3 and 4. They are very physical and need to get out a lot, I can't go away now. I'm too worried they will get hurt or be bored and act up. Go while you can!

If you're not going to go can she come here and watch my kids? Lol. We've been able to do 1 night at a time in the past 5 years. Nice to have any time at all but I would kill for a 3 or 4 day getaway.

If we had the chance to go away, I would be more comfortable bringing my kids along. I am not ready to leave them for vacation yet. I especially wasn't when they were that young. But, so many do it, and so if you are comfortable then go for it! And you can have a drink and sand on your toes, and bring the baby!

When my DD was 8 mo I was still nursing so that would have been thought but I would definitely go away without her now (she's 3). The longest we've been away without her is 2 nights but I'd love a longer trip - I miss adult only vacations!

Yes.

We are actually planning a week long vacay for our anniversary. DD will have just turned 1 by then.

I think it will be incredibly hard to get on that plane, but I know it's the right move. We love our baby like crazy, but we also need adult time.

We are, next month. Going to an island leaving the kids for 5 days! Ill miss them, but only sort of ;). We are in need of a couples vacation, its been 7 years since we've been on a non family vacation.

Yes-going on a 12 day med cruise in a few months. I think a week would have been better (12 days sounded good when we booked but I think we will be going crazy by the time we get back). I think a week away sounds awesome!

I would do it.

Hubbie and i went to Italy for 2 weeks when my first son was a year old. Thank god we went then because now we have 3 kids and a vacation like that will never happen again until they are in colleged lol
