If I get a jogger stroller, do I need a "regular" stroller?

First I was thinking:
Travel System
Jogging Stroller
Umbrella Stroller


but that seems like overkill? Do I need the regular stroller portion of the travel system if I have the jogger?

Can I just do:
Infant carrier
Snap N go
Jogging stroller


I don't technically "jog" but we go on lots of long walks in the city on rugged sidewalks so the jogging stroller seemed perfect for that.

You can probably even do just infant carrier & jogging stroller as long as you get the right parts to attach the carrier to the jogging stroller - KWIM?

We have both a travel system (Chicco Cortina) and jogging stroller (BOB revolution). There's an adapter for the carseat to go into the BOB, but we never used it.

We really like the convenience of the travel system and found no need to get the Snap n go. The stroller in the travel system is really easy to open/close (can even do it with 1 hand!) and so we just bring that around with us all the time. And then when the baby outgrows the carrier, we can use the regular stroller part.

He's 4 months old and 19 lbs already so I have a feeling he'll outgrow the carrier soon (holds 22 lbs) so we're happy to have the travel system's stroller. If you're not actually going to JOG in the jogging stroller, you can use it at an earlier age than for actually jogging.

we got the carrier, snap n' go and the city mini. we're going to buy a Bob jogger off of craigslist for our off-pavement excursions (i've seen them for under $100!).

The thought of dragging a travel system around made my body ache just thinking about it...those things are all so heavy! the carrier and snap n' go will be perfect for the first few months, especially here in the city and if we go on Metro.

We only got a snap and go and bob revolution. I'm a runner so I plan to use the jogger for walks and runs- got the carseat adapter for it. The snap and go will stay in the car for trips out to the store and such.

We'll get a light weight once they baby outgrows the carrier and we see what kind of size they are.

I'd go with a jogging stroller (i know graco infant seats snap into jeep strollers)

and a good umbrella stroller

and that's it!

eta: the jogging strollers fold well, but not nearly as small as an umbrella stroller. umbrella stroller is ideal for keeping in the trunk of the car, pulling out at the mall, etc.

I had a Bugaboo when I lived in Brooklyn and it took on the cobble stoned streets of downtown Brooklyn fantastically. Plus it didn't weigh a lot.

If you don't want to spend as much, look into Baby Jogger Citi Select. It's very similar to the Bug.

I also have the Maclaren Triumph as my umbrella for quick trips to the store.

A lot of jogging strollers can be bulky, not necessarily heavy. So just keep that in mind if you will be taking in and out of the car a lot.

I think so. My stroller isn't per se for jogging (Baby Jogger City Mini), but I hate the travel systems so I just got the infant carrier, City Mini and the snap and go adaptor. You can just get the snap and go frame and the jogging stroller for later.

i returned my snap-n-go. The thing is short, so DH would've never been comfortable pushing it..and DS was only in the infant seat for 4 mos!

yeah, a BOB and a snap and go (for quick trips/stores) is a great set up. the only think you might want to add is a lightweight stroller for when DC is older (to replace the snap and go on quick trips).
