If DC won't be in the infant carrier this winter....
what will you be using to keep them warm? Jacket and blankets, or BundleMe for the stroller and put blankets over DS while in the carseat? What are you doing? We are installed convertible carseat next week and I'm still so confused about what to do!

Re: If DC won't be in the infant carrier this winter....
I have a fleece he wears and a heavy stroller blanket I take to put over him. I also have a car seat poncho that is really warm that sometimes I use alone or when it's really cold I will put it over his fleece--it's nice bc it unzippers in the front and the car seat straps go underneath but he stays warm.

I bought that fleece one piece suit from old navy- it has bear ears & then i'll use a blanket for the walk from the door to the car.

If you bought the snowsuit/bunting type thing, will you have to take it off of them every time you go into a store?

probably.
I'd probably just pull down the torso part but keep his legs in the bottom part.

We bought a fleece coverall. It's a comfortable weight, and not too heavy so I can leave it on him when I take him out and bring him into stores. I also plan to cover him in a blanket when walking him to the car and while he's in the car.

I got DS the 3 in 1 coat from TCP - he's been wearing the fleece part mainly but, when it gets colder, I have the shell as well.
I also bought him the one piece bunting from Old Navy.

Re: If DC won't be in the infant carrier this winter....
I'm glad you asked this, because I'm still trying to decide. We have the fleece outfit from Old Navy (the one with the bear ears), but I feel like pants don't fit underneath it. So far, on cold days, we've been putting DS in a sweatshirt, hat, mittens, and a heavy blanket. A snowsuit or jacket seem like a pain, because I think it's too bulky for the car seat.

Re: If DC won't be in the infant carrier this winter....
My parents got the boys these jackets. I like them bc they have a hood. I wrap a blanket around their legs when I carry them from the house to the car.
This jacket is not too puffy so it is fine for the car seat.
From Baby Gap.

I found a warm bunting with the hole for the carseat bucket to go through at target.
