If 3 day potty training did NOT work for you
We started right after DS turned 2. He was showing signs. Talked about the toilet. Knew what it was for. But when we started making him go, He did NOT like it. And from soup to nuts, it honestly took 6 months before he was COMPLETELY out of diapers! It was NOT 3 days for him. Oddly enough, he picked up #2 right away. We gave him a LOT of naked time, and m&ms were our friend. Anytime he did anything on the toilet, he got 2 m&ms. We did use pull ups just in case because we didn't want to have to change clothes while shopping. but 6 months later, he was dry at night and consistently dry during the day.
Be patient. It takes time. I liked the premise behind the 3 day method but for us, it was NOT a 3 day method. I think the 3 days was what we needed to get the ball rolling. However, I was lucky. I started it right after school ended and I had a summer to work on it.

Thank you all again. We had a success this morning where he asked to go potty and his underwear was still dry! He actually caught it in time. Hopefully this keeps up!
