Iberostar Vacations - update - I just booked!
Has anyone ever been to Playa Del Carmen in Mexico? We are thinking of booking a trip there. We want something all inclusive and heard good things about Iberostar. Any input at all would be huge.

SORRY - I'm ususally not a "BUMPER" but I really want to get this vacation taken care of.
If no one has been to Iberostar - then can you recommend an all inclusive resort that you went to and loved?

we went to Royal Hideaway for our HM and loved it! Its also in Play del Carmen.

I have been to 2 Iberostars both in DR though. I had a great time both times and ther resorts are well maintained and I would definitely consider with this chain when I travel again. The one in Bavarro is nicer than the Costa Dorado (that one is just older).
I know people who have been to the Iberostars in Mexico and raved about them. I almost went to one in Mexico but at the last minute we changed our mind and went to the Adventura Spa Palace in the Mayan Riviera and I would defintiely recommend that. It was very nice adn food was good. I hear the Royal Hideway is incredible but it was more than we wanted to spend when we went to Mexico.
I have also been to the Paradisus in Costa Rica. It is all inclusive. I would rate in similar to the Iberostar in Bavarro, DR.

Any Iberostar resort is fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my cousin went to the Iberostar in Mexico and loved it!

The problem for me is that there are so many Iberostars in Playa Del Carmen that I don't know which one to choose and I keep mixing them up.

we stayed at the Iberostar properties twice in Dominican Republic and I have nothing but great things to say about them... we had an amazing time and the staff was awesome...

geez - I just looked at the Iberostars there and I can't remember which ones I was looking at when I was going to Mexico a few years ago...there are a lot. now I need a vacation.

Thanks! We booked Parasio Del Mar. It was so hard to pick between all of the different resorts but there were two in my price range so I went with the one closer to the airport bc there really wasn't another difference.

yeah, is the same one.
it's just divided into two parts because is just that huge.
You are going to love it there.
