I got one better than that...we went to an open house and as we were walking around we went into the master bedroom and a guy was change a baby on the bed... we apologized to the real estate lady for walking in...she said "Some People" and proceeded to tell us that they are not the home owners just potential buyers.....Chat Icon

That is REALLY gross! YUCK!

I still demand privacy when changing my daughter. I don't know I would rather leave the mall and change her in my car then do it somewhere in public even if there is a changing table. I don't just me I guess. But on the bed in random persons house- NEVER that is so disrespectful and on a bedding display in a storeChat Icon I could never. That's just so unsanitary for EVERYONE baby and general public.

Re: I was really grossed out...

Forgive me for perpetuating the grossness of this but I just thought of something. What if that was not the first and only baby changed on that one spot? Oh man. I think I may raise my kids in a plastic splatter guard!

I wouldn't do that! Chat Icon Especially not with a bathroom so close. I have to tell you though, changing a baby in a car is no simple task either so I wouldn't say the mom should have done that.

Oh I am sure it isnt easy at all and I certainly didnt mean to imply that it was but if I had the choice, I would change a child in a car or a changing table before I would do it on a piece of furniture that many people either sat on or may sit on. Thats allChat Icon

Re: I was really grossed out...

Thats totally nasty, rude, and completely inappropriate. I am not a mom, but someday when I have a baby I will not be doing anything like that EVER. Thats what the bathroom is for.

Re: I was really grossed out...

That's disgusting, and the real estate one is even worse..can you IMAGINE?!?!

I'm not a mom, but seriously, there are abthrooms everywhere...go change the baby in the bathroom, not on someone;s comforter, or a comforter at a store that many people will touch.

Re: I was really grossed out...

That's really nasty...Roosevelt field has plenty of facilities for babies.

The only time I ever changed Jared outside of a changing room while I was out, was in the back of my SUV...Nobody saw me and I wasn't doing it in public so I thought it was alright.

I think it IS ok. It is your private property.

I'd be worried that some sort of freak would be checking out my kid's goodies. Not an appropriate place at all.

Re: I was really grossed out...

That is just disgusting..... My mom works there and I know for a fact that the restrooms are located near the bedding area just before the children's department.

If I don't like the way the bathroom looks in a store, I'll change Nate when we get to the car. Our windows are tinted so no one would ever see anything.
